Enjoy four days and three nights of daily workshops, writing and individual conferences with Cary Tennis, Friday, April 5 to Monday, April 8, 2013. The full price includes lodging in a five-bedroom house (“the big lake house”) or an adjacent two-bedroom cottage (“the cottage”) on beautiful Lake Santa Fe in Melrose, Fla., about a 30-minute drive from Gainesville through pleasant, rural, lake-dotted countryside.

The Melrose Retreat will substantially follow the same schedule and format as the Tomales Bay retreats, which we have been holding at Marconi Conference Center in Northern California for the past 5 years. The workshops follow the Amherst Writers and Artists method, a widely used and recognized technique that provides great artistic and creative freedom and a safe environment.

Amenities: Lake swimming off private beach and dock, quiet rural setting, comfortable house, catered meals, evening readings and performances by workshop leader and participants plus possible musical performances.
